Frequently asked

Before you write to us.

The questions new clients ask most often — answered directly. If yours isn’t here, the inquiry form above is the right place.

Is the initial consultation charged?

+
The first consultation is offered without charge. We use the time to understand your matter, identify any conflict of interest, and advise whether Kazoxi is the right firm for your situation. If we are not, we will refer you to counsel we trust.

Do you advise on both conventional and Syariah-compliant structures?

+
Yes. Kazoxi practitioners are experienced in both conventional Malaysian commercial law and Syariah-compliant frameworks. For Islamic finance and Syariah-sensitive transactions, we work closely with registered Syariah advisers to ensure full compliance with BNM guidelines and the relevant fatwa.

How are fees structured?

+
Most engagements are billed on an hourly basis. Fixed-fee arrangements are available for defined transactional work such as conveyancing and standard corporate filings. Every engagement begins with a written cost estimate — you will not receive an unexpected invoice from Kazoxi.

Which jurisdictions does Kazoxi advise on?

+
Our practitioners are admitted in Malaysia and regularly advise on cross-border matters involving Singapore, Indonesia, the UAE, Hong Kong and the United Kingdom. International matters outside our direct admission are handled in close cooperation with vetted local counsel in the relevant jurisdiction.

How quickly can Kazoxi mobilise on a new matter?

+
For most new engagements, we complete intake and a conflicts check within 24 hours and can begin substantive work the same business day. Time-critical matters — including injunction applications and urgent arbitration filings — should be flagged explicitly in your inquiry or raised directly by phone.
